PRIVATE TRAINING

Your goals are our goals here at GetFit1st. We are here to motivate and help you stay committed to the process. We know this doesn’t come overnight, we know there will be days where you may not want to train, that’s what we are here for.  1 on 1 training where the Coach will not only give you what you need to achieve your goals, but will demonstrate the correct way to complete the exercises. Whether you have a specific goal of weight loss, muscle building, or just overall improvement in health and wellness the Coaches here at GetFit1st are ready to attack those goals with you!

SEMI-PRIVATE TRAINING

Who said you can’t train with another person or multiple people and not have a workout specific to your needs? GetFit1st offers Small group training where each person is working individually in a group setting. Have a couple friends that you want to get in a weekly training session? Whatever the fitness levels are, the Coaches at GetFit1st will create workouts that will fit each individual, guaranteed to push each person to their limits in a safe manner.

SMALL GROUP CLASSES

Small group classes here at GetFit1st are 10 person max to ensure each participant is receiving the constant care and instruction on you performing the exercises at your best abilities. Classes are 60mins long and instructor lead so we’re ensuring proper form is being shared. Modifications given to all individuals if needed.

We have designed two different class formats to give our members a variety of small group training inside the Lab!

YOUTH PERFORMANCE

What do you do in the off season of your sport? Work to get better for the next season! One of the major reasons children break away from different sports and activities outside of loss of interest is physical injury.

 

In this Youth Performance program, we will be working with each child to improve specific skill sets for each child opposed to a general workout for everyone. It’s not about picking up weights, it’s about learning to work with your body, developing a stronger core, becoming more agile, mobile, and prepped for the next challenge.

 

This program is designed for serious youth athletes looking to take their abilities to the next level.  To really see the results, it is imperative that you attend all sessions so we are all able to learn and progress together as a team.​

WORKSHOPS

Here at GetFit1st, we offer more than just training and small group classes. With our workshops, these are 2 hour active events that allow us to get into the core of two important topics: mobility and Self defense. In these two workshops we focus on parts of each subject not only giving you information to know, but physically showing you how to do it.

Workshops are monthly at the studio, stay up to date with us via social media or our calendar on the website for specific date and time.

MOBILITY WORKSHOP: 

Before every GetFit1st member picks up a band, a kettlebell, or hops on any piece of equipment we begin each session with CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations). In this workshop we will be digging into the guts of CARs and showing you that without quality movement, there is no growth. One thing that isn’t up for discussion, There is no strength training without mobility training. What works for one person isn’t guaranteed to work for another person, as no two bodies are the same. Looking to increase a persons range of motion, improve joint health are just a few examples of what CARs do for the body. In our 2 hour workshops, we get a chance to breakdown specific movements for each joint to help get as close to one goal that is for many people who train, establishing a pain free lifestyle.

SELF DEFENSE: 

Collins Strong Fighting Systems (CSFS) combines a common ground between traditional martial arts like: Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Judo, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu along with combat sports like Boxing and Wrestling. The Collins brothers have created a curriculum from beginner to advanced that has been curated over many years of experience. With over 40 years combined of Martial Arts, this fight system is one that applies these particular fundamentals to realistic situations and scenarios.

BEAT THE STREETS CHICAGO WRESTLING

WHAT IS BEAT THE STREETS?

Launched back in 1997, BTS Chicago Wrestling is a Non-profit organization empowering the city's youth through wrestling. 

 

With its objective to create more elementary programs in conjunction with Chicago Public High Schools, Chicago Park DIstrict, and Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation (IKWF). Since 2017, Beat The Streets National formally organized as the national federation for the programs in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles.  

 

This summer BTS has opened their doors to a brand new facility on Chicago's Southwest side of the city as the homefront to BTS Chicago.
